NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC:

 

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Article 7, Section  23(C) of the Constitution  and

R.S.  47:1705(B) that a public hearing of the Assessment District will be held at its

regular meeting place at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse, 500  Main  Street, 2nd

Floor, Suite  102, Franklin, Louisiana, on Friday, September 19, 2011 at 10:00 a.m.

to  consider levying additional or increased millage rates without further voter

 approval or adopting the adjusted millage rates after reassessment and rolling forward

to rates not to exceed the prior year’s maximum. The estimated amount of tax revenues

 to be collected in the next tax year from the increased millage is $1,632,725.00 and

the amount of increase in taxes attributable to the millage increase is $39,684.00.

 

NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC:

 

Notice is hereby given that I have completed the listings of all property in the

Parish of St. Mary  and I have estimated the values thereon and said listings

 will be exposed in the St. Mary Parish Assessor's Office located on the

second floor in the Courthouse Building for Public inspection and correction

for a period of fifteen (15) days, beginning August 16th through August 30th, 2011.

NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC:

 

Notice is hereby given that the Parish Council of St. Mary Parish

will meet on the 28th day of September, 2011 at 5:30 p.m. for

the purpose of receiving protests and hearing complaints on

values of property for assessment purposes in the parish fixed

by the Assessor of St. Mary Parish. All taxpayers desiring to

protest values fixed the St. Mary Parish Assessor must file their

protest in writing or verbally with the Clerk of the Council

seven (7) days before the date of the said meeting.
